ABOUT - The Artist
My story began around the age of 16, when I had an existential crisis - a deep sense of “this can’t be it”.
The material world couldn’t provide any answers to deeper questions, and in the 1990s, spiritual knowledge was not common, nor as easily accessible as today - the internet was just emerging.
At that time I was immersed in dark fantasy art, atmospheric black metal and ambient music - attracted by what they represented for me: the deep, mysterious, hidden beauty and secrets of nature.
I loved drawing and wanted to learn how to paint, envisioning becoming a fantasy and concept artist, to one day work on great movies and games.
But all that took a complete turn, when my relentless quest for truth and meaning led me to my first mystical experience at the age of turning 20.
I was offered the opportunity for a psychedelic trip, to which I said yes without hesitation, as clueless as I was. Little did I know that it would become one of my most life-changing experiences.
During this key journey, the mushroom teachers took me far beyond the veil, peeling layer by layer off of my identity. Beginning with eyes-closed perception of the entire surrounding forest, all the way going beyond space-time, "back" into a timeless state of Source, there was no trace of memory left of being human.
After what seemed like an eternity, a voice called me back to Earth, and I was beyond surprised and in awe to be alive in a human body.
This experience shifted me completely and turned my worldview upside down. It took me years to understand and fully integrate it.
In the following decade, I kept exploring the spectrum of consciousness through psychedelics, lucid dreaming and meditation techniques.
During 33 sessions with the most potent mushroom and plant teachers, I was shown the inner and invisible worlds, their timeless nature and incomprehensible vastness.
These experiences were not only difficult to describe in words, but also resembled nothing I knew from daily life.
As a visual person, the urge to express and share, pushed me to explore new creative ways such as fractals and sacred geometry - the language of creation - to visualize what I had experienced.
Within a short amount of time, my previous ambitions for dark fantasy art had completely taken a backseat, and Void Visuals was born.
During my time at the art academy, I decided to study “visual communications” via film and animation to add the element of motion.
Since these inner journeys translated very well as “movies”, by integrating my other big passion music with film and moving images, I was able to bring it all together.
In the following years, my work started to be seen and used by spiritual communities - energy workers, lightworkers and teachers, who needed visualizations for their content.
My expertise became a mix between a deep understanding for the energetic and invisible realms, and the technical skills of art and animation to make them visible.
As a freelancer I collaborated with many wonderful people, while parallely working on my own projects, such as documentaries, music videos and art exhibitions.
Over the years, my work has been used in productions by Gaia.com (including Joe Dispenza, Matias de Stefano, and the Samadhi trilogy), as well as Innerwise, Cosmic Cine, and others.
A highlight on my path was connecting with Alex Grey, a longtime artistic role model, and being commissioned to animate two of his iconic works: Theologue and Lightworker. This collaboration felt like a full-circle moment - a reflection of the artistic path I’d been walking and a bridge between my inner journeys and the wider world of sacred art.
After years of being in the field of film and animation, my focus now is to bring my art into a more tangible form. Using lenticular prints has been a vision I had for a long time, to manifest “Multidimensional Art”.
As high-tech advances at ever-increasing speed, the need for 'high touch' grows proportionally.
Thank you for taking the time!
It’s often said that the medicine we offer to the world is what we needed ourselves in the first place.
For me that medicine is remembrance and connection - to wonder, beauty, heart and Source. This is my practice, my vocation and my offering to you, in its purest form.
